Boston Pizza has graciously agreed to sponsor our player of the week award for the 2013 season. Each player of the week award winner will receiver a personal pizza compliments of BP's. We will be going back and starting at Week 1 and moving forward for the duration of the season...so lets get this thing started.

Week 1:
Remember the Titans made their PIT debut during the first weekend of the season by defeating the 2012 Division 4 champions the Snappers handily. Aaron Wold threw for six touchdown passes and ran for a touchdown in the victory solidifying himself as the first Boston Brute award winner. Aaron currently sits first in the division in touchdown passes as well as seventh in scoring! Not coincidentally Remember the Titans currently sit first in Division 4. The season is still young, so those stats and standings might just be the tip...

Aaron will receive a free personal pizza courtesy of Boston Pizza for his accomplishments.

Congrats from the PIT Crew

Mike Funk rides the Crimson Tide to the second Boston Pizza POW award.

Mike totally scored all 10 points for the Crimson Tide in their overtime victory over the Swaffelins in week 2 action. With the game tied 6-6 in regulation Mike also totally scored all four points in overtime and totally took down two interceptions in the game on the defensive side of the ball.

Mike currently sits third in the newly created flag division in points, fourth in sacks, and second in interceptions proving that Mike can totally do it all!

Jason Bergthorson sacks the Boston Pizza POW Award.

Jason Bergthorson had five sacks in Go Deep’s 32-0 defeat of the Benders. Jason already has 24 sacks on the season and is on pace to break the outdoor sack record. The 24 sacks are a big reason why Go Deep already has five shut outs this year as opposing QB’s have no time to test their defensive backs.

Is Mr.Bergthorson the next Britney Cagle (potato sack champion extraordinaire)? http://supercynic.wordpress.com/2011/05/23/champion-potato-sack-racer-cant-shake-doping-rumors/

Ok I am not as good as the comparative insults as these guys:

Boston Pizza award gets Fubar’d!

Wes Holdnick of FUBAR led his team to their first victory of the season defeating the Tribe by a score of 26-6. Wes threw for four touchdowns and took down an interception in the victory. After starting the season on an 0-4 slide FUBAR is hoping to begin FUBARing the competition.

You won’t have to leave a message twice for these guys (terrible segway but another great Archer clip to make up for it).

Kerry Surnix expends himself on the Woodies.

Kerry Surnix threw for five touchdowns in the expendables victory over the Woodies in week 5. No matter how hard the Woodies came at Kerry he was able to exploit holes in their defense penetrating them over and over again. Kerry tossed Sean Lehman three touchdowns as the two Eiffle towered the Woodies all evening.

After reading the above paragraph I really should watch my phrasing:

Bryce Taylor of the Raging Bulls is the week 6 Boston Brute Player of the Week Award winner.

Bryce played like bull in a china shop throwing for three touchdown passes and goring the River Rats for two more on the ground. Bryce had a hand in every point scored in what turned out to be the first the victory for the Bulls on the season. It has been a bit of a tough start to the PIT career for the Bulls but with play like this we are sure more victories are on the way. At least the PIT isn’t as hostile a place as this:

Short and Curlies QB Tyler Wilcox becomes the 8th recipient of the Boston Brute Player of the Week Award. The ex-Assassin wide receiver has transitioned this year to QB and has shown that he can play with the best. To win the POW award Tyler threw four touchdown passes in the Curlies 26-12 victory over the Deadzone. Give this roster full of ex-elite players some time to gel and they will be scary come playoff time. How many playoff victories would constitute a rampage?

With a name like Short and Curlies Scott would like to know how do you get protein stains out of cashmere?

The Demonhood claims the newest Boston Brute Player of the Week Award.

Max Jeanson of the Demonhood threw for a touchdown, ran for one, scored a convert, and had a pick in the Demonhood’s 15-14 overtime victory over the Sound and the Fury. Max also connected with Edwin Chin for the winning convert after the Sound and the Fury went up by a point in OT.

Hopefully the win will get the Demonhood on a role and serve notice to all other teams that when they play the Demons they have entered the Danger Zone!

Max will receive a free personal pizza courtesy of our sponsors at Boston Pizza.

Jeff Einarson is the newest recipient of the Boston Brute Player of the Week Award.

Set the scene: two games, two days, two victories for the Sleeveless Monstars QB. Beyond throwing for five touchdowns, Jeff scared up two picks and twelve points. After a rough start to the season the Monstars are beginning to come on with three victories in a four game stretch, in no small part to Jeff’s 32 TD passes.

Things have turned for the better, for a while we thought the Monstars were headed to self-extinction…while shooting heroin with a monkey!

Bengals take a bite out of No D!

Todd Stenzel of the Bondiddy Bengals led the cats to what was their first victory of the season at the time, eviscerating No D to the tune of 38-6. Playing iron man Todd threw for five touchdown passes, ran for another and had an interception. Good enough to receive the Boston Brute player of the week award!

After the embarrassment the Bengals laid down, No D was left just jacking it!

Tim McDowell of the All Droogs receives the newest Boston Brute Player of the Week award.

Tim McDowell threw for two touchdowns, ran in a convert, and recorded a QB sack in a great all-around performance that just fell short of victory against the Shiva Blast. After seeing that performance it was overheard that "You can't have a society with everybody behaving in my manner of the night." While this season the PIT has bordered on a dystopia football landscape for the Droogs perhaps our anti-heros will put it together for the playoffs.

What would Alex Delarge do in this situation?
