Here are a few statistics gleaned from the 204 PIT players who filled out our survey.
47.0% of players indicated that they were motivated to play in the PIT because their previous leagues could not provide a positive game day experience.
73.8% of players were within a 30 minute drive to the fields they most commonly play. The majority of players also said they would commute farther to fields if the fields were of higher quality.
84.3% of players were very satisfied with the playing surfaces of the outdoor fields. The most common complaint was the fields were too hard – something we as an organization currently have no control over. Almost all commenters stated that they enjoyed the consistent field lining and said having lines improved their game day experience.
91.8% of players said field quality was important to their game day experience and 62.2% of players said they would pay more for registration if the fields could be made even better.
82.1% of players socialize after games (I figured it would be 100%!!!)
51.3% of respondents said that they or someone they knew would like to play in a flag football division (seems like there is definite interest – stay tuned to the site for more information about our Flag Football Clinic being held on March 16th). 48.7% of respondents also said they would play coed (another division just started this Winter).
63.9% of respondents lived in the south, 29.8% in the north, and 6.3% outside the city.
1 respondent indicated that we should somehow incorporate more cats into our league. 1 respondent liked Scott's hair.
We will be putting up some information shortly regarding some of the suggestions that were made to improve the game day experience and how we hope to make them happen.
