There are 132 teams now vying for 115 spots in the Winter season. That currently means 17 teams on the site will NOT be playing in the Winter season. In fact, teams can still register on the site and as long as they are one of the first 115 teams to pay they will be playing ball. Thus there will probably be more than 17 teams that will be heading to Star Wars conventions over the winter rather than playing football:

The real K.I.T.T warns that there are 143 teams registered on the site (and counting) and that 28 teams will be dreaming of Nerd Rider over the winter instead of playing ball.

The weekend brought a huge number of teams paying for the Winter session and a few more teams popping up on the website. There are now 147 teams signed up on the website with only 115 spots currently available. Teams should make arrangements to get registration in as nearly 2/3rds of the spots available are now sold out. New teams can still register on the site for Winter ball but as of right now 32 teams won't be in for the Winter season. Don't get stuck trying to get cheat codes to nuke Canada, get your registration in!
