Boston Pizza is back on board to help celebrate the best player performances on Saturday nights in the PIT. Each Saturday we will be selecting a player of the week, the recipient of which will receive a free Boston Brute for their hard work. Scott will be providing information shortly regarding what we have in store for those of you playing Fridays!

The first Boston Brute of the week goes to Seth Boulding of the RAY-vens who had an amazing 10 sacks and an even more amazing 5 safeties (you read that correctly) which may be one of the records destined to NEVER be broken. With rushing like that it is not surprising that through two games the RAY-vens have given up a grand total of three points!

Seth is such an tenacious defender that it might have been him, and not Jerome Harrison, who bit a hole in Colt McCoy's face.

Seth will receive a complementary gift certificate for a Boston Brute courtesy of Boston Pizza and the PIT. The gift certificate will be attached to a future game card.

Player of the Week gets Twisted.

The second recipient of the Saturday Night Boston Brute award goes to Lucus Wollmann of the TD Twisters who had a 19 point, 2 interception game in the TD Twisters 40-6 victory over the Rolling 7s. The additions of the “Wollmann trio” (Lucus, Jordan, and Joshua) have spurred the TD Twisters to their best start in the franchises’ history. Can the TD Twisters run the table and go undefeated? 2 games down and 3 to go!

The TD Twisters may become the next Stone Cold Lock of the Century...of the week.

Congratulations from the PIT Crew. A gift certificate for a free Boston Brute courtesy of Boston Pizza will be attached to a future game card.

The Week #3 Player of the Week will be up shortly and we will be caught up on the Saturday Player of the Week Awards.

Katchalus explode with player of the week award

The third recipient of the Boston Brute player of the week award goes to Belal Lahl of the Exploding Katchalus who had five (count them, five!) interceptions to go along with a score in the Katchalus win over Touched Downstairs.

Not surprisingly Belal leads Division 8 in interceptions, but he also clocks in tied for 6th in points. The upstart Katchalus have gotten off to a 2-0 start in their first ever season of indoor touch football. Belal might have stopped Drew Brees in his quest for the consecutive games TD streak with that kind of production, even if he was missing an arm like Johnny Unitas.

Belal will receive a gift certificate for a free Boston Pizza attached to a future game card for his work. Congratulations from the PIT Crew.

Week #4 is in the books and with that a new installment of the Boston Brute Player of the Week. Brayden Berstein of the Tribe inscribes his name on the award after notching 6 sacks and scoring 8 points in the Tribes 34-27 victory over the Exploding Katchalus. This game was just one of the many barnburners in what might have been the most exciting night of indoor ball in PIT history!

Brayden’s 6 sacks moved him into second place in Division 8 and his 8 points also moved him into the top 10 in scoring. Brayden’s work is part of the reason why the Tribe is tied for first place (with three other teams!) in what might be the toughest division in the Fall.

If Brayden keeps of his play he might one day be eulogized like Al Davis.

Brayden will receive a gift certificate for a free Boston Pizza attached to a future game card for his work. Congratulations from the PIT Crew.

5 weeks in, 5 Boston Brute players of the week, 5 Superfriends - coincidence?

The PIT's newest player of the week has the superpower to score 4 touchdowns and pick six teams in a single game. Andrew "Boston Brute" Glowa rocketed to the top of division 10 scoring with his 24 points and into third place with his interception. This dual threat has the Superfriends posed to make the playoffs in the super competitive division where everyone has at least one win and only two points separates first from last place!

We went a little off the board avoiding the lock of the week for this award however Andrew Glowa deserves a super speed high five!

Andrew will receive a gift certificate for a free Boston Pizza attached to a future game card for his work. Congratulations from the PIT Crew.

The week 6 Boston Brute player of the week goes to Simon Blaszczak who "ripped and teared" his way to 4 touchdowns and an interception in Ripping and Tearings 34-6 victory over Long n Deep. The man with too many consecutive consonants in his name has been out of football for a couple of years in order to grow taller has helped R & T get off to a perfect 3-0 start in their first season of indoor football.

The only defensive back with a chance to cover this guy might be Darrelle Revis however my money is on Simon turning Revis Island into the Foxboro City Dump.

Mr. Blzczzqzczczczak will receive a gift certificate for a free Boston Pizza attached to a future game card for his work. Congratulations from the PIT Crew.

Week 7 is in the books and LW United continues to roll.

Since entering the league just a couple of years ago LW United has won multiple championships and has skyrocketed up in divisions. Currently they sit undefeated at 3-0 in the uber-competitive Division 3. LW United's winning ways are due in large part to Brett Anderson who rolled What's Old is New to the tune of 14 points and 4 interceptions including a beauty pick 6. Brett currently sits 3rd in Division 3 in interceptions with a couple of games in hand on the division leaders.

Brett was so dominant last night that he did everything but perform a pivotal scene from Andrew Lloyd Webber's the Phantom of the Opera.

Brett will receive a gift certificate for a free Boston Pizza attached to a future game card for his work. Congratulations from the PIT Crew.

With Week 8 of the season in the books that means the playoffs are just around the corner and Appetite for TDs punching their ticket to said playoffs on the back an 18-6 victory over Diving Snatch. In a game that turned out to be a second place showdown in Division 9 Matthew Berens had 12 points and 2 interceptions. The 12 points gave Matthew 57 on the season good for a share of the division lead and his 2 picks put him at the top for interceptions. Not a bad season.

If Appetite for TDs doesn't win a championship then the terrorists win.

Matthew will receive a gift certificate for a free Boston Pizza attached to a future game card for his work. Congratulations from the PIT Crew.
