Division 4:
Round 1: Enforcers vs Urban Animals, Southside Trojans vs Blue Bongers (1st thru 6th place receive a bye)
Round 2: Polk High vs 8th Seed, Eagle 88 vs 7th Seed, Brewers vs Face Kick, Snappers vs Ninja Militia
Round 3: 1st Seed vs 4th Seed, 2nd Seed vs 3rd Seed
Championship Game: Winners of Round 3
Polk High wins the tie-breaker over Eagle 88 due to their better +/- in head-to-head games. The teams split the season series at 1-1 however Polk High had a +18 points differential in those games.
Enforcers win the tie-breaker over Southside Trojans as Southside defaulted 2 games. According to the tie-breaker rules instituted for the 2012 season the first tie-breaker is as follows: "In the event that two teams are tied and one of those teams has defaulted a game during the regular season, the non-defaulting team (or team with fewer defaults) will automatically receive the higher seed".

Agent Orange wins the tie-breaker over Da Killa Beez as they won both of their head-to-head match ups during the regular season.
Fubar wins the tie-breaker over Vipers due to their better +/- in head-to-head games. The teams split the season series at 1-1 however Fubar had a +3 points differential in those games.
A complete list of tie-breakers can be found here: http://www.pitfootball.com/menu/outdoor-rules-2012

Jon
I see the rule change for tie breaks, but does this really make any sense??
U dock a team 2 points for missing the game plus they lose tiebreakers.
Seems a bit harsh and screws up the standings quite a bit as Southside had a .500 record yet finishes behind a team with 2 less wins and 100 less points for/against. Just something to consider for the offseason rule changes
I'm sure the league considered this fully but just seems a bit odd.
Secondly, we played at JF on the weekend and it was not lined whatsoever because mini soccer field lines were put in place. I just wanted to make sure that the field will be lined for the playoff game.
Thanks

I think the refs set up on the wrong field because we lined it! There are 3 fields at Forsyth, something must have happened I will talk to our refs. All playoff fields will also be relined this coming week.
As for the default rule, we intentionally made the penalty harsher to try to prevent defaults. We had a larger league in terms of teams this year yet we had less defaults than last year. Hopefully some of the increased penalties played a part in the decrease.

Division 6
Round 1: Shiva Blast vs Gators, System of a Touchdown vs Running Riot (1st thru 6th place receive a bye)
Round 2: Necessary Roughness vs 8th Seed, BandwhOres United vs 7th Seed, Snipers vs Cheeseheads, Barracudas vs Spartans
Round 3: 1st Seed vs 4th Seed, 2nd Seed vs 3rd Seed
Championship Game: Winners of Round 3
Shiva blast loses tiebreakers vs Spartans and Cheesheads by virtue of their default, while Spartans point differential in the split with Cheeseheads gives them the higher seed.
Division 7
Round 1: Bad Company vs Rolling 7's, Cobras vs Fighting Fire Hydrants (1st thru 6th place receive a bye)
Round 2: Renegades vs 8th Seed, Sloppy Secondary vs 7th Seed, Dirty Birdz vs U Can't Touch This, Slobberknockers vs Blue Balls
Round 3: 1st Seed vs 4th Seed, 2nd Seed vs 3rd Seed
Championship Game: Winners of Round 3
Blue Balls finishes a higher than U Can't touch this due to U Cant's default.
Division 8
Round 1: Full Force vs Demon Liama's, River Rats vs Benders (1st thru 6th place receive a bye)
Round 2: Brew Bombers vs 8th Seed, Da Beers vs 7th Seed, Anvils vs Onslaught, Micronauts vs Fort Garry Flyers
Round 3: 1st Seed vs 4th Seed, 2nd Seed vs 3rd Seed
Championship Game: Winners of Round 3
Brew Bombers finish higher than Da Beers due to the point differential in the season split with Da Beers. Micronauts finish higher than Fort Gary Flyers because the Flyers had a default.
Division 9:
6 teams
Round 1: The Schooners vs Xcessive Force, North End Hawkeyes vs Chupacabras (1st and 2nd place receive a bye)
Round 2: The Mega Powers vs 4th Seed, The Young & Rest of us vs 3rd Seed
Championship Game: Winners of Round 2
The Mega Powers won the Season head to head over The Young and the Rest of Us to take firs in division 9. The North End Hawkeyes beat both the Chupacabras and Excessive force to finish the higher seed, and The Chupacabras beat Excessive force in their regular season match to take the higer seed over them.
Division 10:
6 teams
Round 1: Guns of Hochuli vs Wieners and Tacos, Spetsnaz vs Moustache Ride (1st and 2nd place receive a bye)
Round 2: Greedy Smurfs vs 4th Seed, Manchild United FC vs 3rd Seed
Championship Game: Winners of Round 2
There was an odd number of games played between Manchild, Guns and Spetsnaz, the tiebreaker was given to Manchild because of the points differential within these four games. Guns of Hochuli takes the higher seed over Spetsnaz due to their victory in the one game played between those two teams.

After some great games and huge upsets the playoff picture is becoming a lot clearer. Here is a link to the remaining games as we are now less than a week from season completion: http://www.pitfootball.com/seasons/913-summer-outdoor-2012/games/playoffs
Parity in the PIT ruled once again this weekend as top seeds The Dead Zone, The Jeffery, Eagle 88, Necessary Roughness, Bandwh0rz United, Sloppy Secondary, and the Young and the Rest of Us were all upset in their quest for their respective titles. Those teams went a combined 96-27 during the regular season but it mattered not as the underdogs played havoc with the playoff seeding during the last two days!
