To our membership:
It is becoming harder for adult rec sports to obtain fields. Some of the causes for reduced field availability are beyond our control. However, there are some areas where we can self-police ourselves. One area relates to the cleanliness of fields. Garbage, most notably water bottles are being left at or around fields causing a litter problem. In addition, garbage being found on and around fields after our events can cause us to lose fields. Expecting the league to clean up the litter is not acceptable. We are therefore reminding members to clean up after themselves. Teams will be responsible to advise, control, and enforce this policy with their own players. Should any team be found breaching this policy, the teams will be held responsible and will face sanctions from the league.
On a side note, who buys bottled water???? Its a f#cking rip off to buy water for $2.00 that actually costs .0001 cents from your tap. Not only are you throwing your money away but you are severely damaging the environment.
