For the first time in indoor history the PIT has hit 100 registered teams! This mark is a testament to the demand for touch football in Manitoba and to the growing football community. Scott and I had hoped to help grow the game of touch football when we started our league four years ago and it is very exciting to see all the young talent picking up the game. The future of touch football in Manitoba is very bright.
As the number of registered teams would suggest were able to obtain some additional field time which pushed our cap up to 101 teams (technically we had hit our initial cap of 94 very early this morning). The PIT will now run 4 time slots on Saturdays and 3 time slots on Fridays. The time slots on Saturdays will start an hour EARLIER at 10:15pm.
With 100 teams registered and 101 spots available that means we have only 1 space left for the record breaking Winter season. There are still a considerable number of teams looking to play Winter ball, first come first accommodated for team number 101!
