Tavern United Player of the Week goes Old Skool
Tavern United is back on board to provide player of the week awards for the Fall indoor season. Each player of the week winner will receive a $10 gift card valid at any Tavern United location! Gift cards will be attached to a future game card which will be presented to the player by the referee on hand.
Our first player of the week award winner is Zack Hazlehurst of Old Skool who put himself on a record sack pace by putting up five sacks against the Greedy Smurfs. The 5 sacks kept the Smurfs off the board for most of the game and led Old Skool to an impressive 22-7 win in their fall debut.
I am sure Zack was working on his sack dance in the off season, not unlike these guys.

Tavern United Player of the Week brings the Heat
Aaron Glawson of the A535 Heat was the Tavern United Player of the Week for the second round of games in the PIT. Aaron had a sack, 2 interceptions, and scored the Heat's only point in a close loss to The Average Joes. The Heat are playing in their first season in the PIT and thus far have split their games but have demonstrated that they are a defensive force, only surrendering 21 points total in those two outings.
Aaron and the rest of his teammates will bring the A535 to their next game as they continue to dole out punishment, not unlike these guys:

Mayhem strikes Tavern United Player of the Week Award.
Brent Fabris of Mayhem is our third winner of the Tavern United Player of the Week Award. Brent had 19 points to help Mayhem get by Street Meat 40-24. While it is still early in the season, Mayhem has jumped out to the divisional lead, while Brent is currently holding down the top spot in the division 10 scoring race.

Tavern United Player of the Week Puts it up!
Pierre Feng of Put it Up is our fourth winner of the Tavern United Player of the Week award. Pierre had two TDs and two interceptions, including a interception returned for a TD in Put it Up's shutout victory over Pick 6. Pick 6 has two championship titles under their belt so shutting them out was quite an accomplishment. Put it Up solidifies their hold on Division 7, and Pierre solidifies his hold on a top two finish in both picks and points on the season.
The PIT's next business move is to hire a commentator to ensure that Pierre's play doesn't go unnoticed!

Warrior is victorious in the battle for the Player of the Week!
Zach Piotrowicz of the Warriors is the week 5 winner of the Tavern United Player of the Week Award. Zach had some huge defensive plays which kept the Warriors team in their game versus the top-seeded Can't Touch This. While the Warriors came up just a bit short in their game, this first year team has shown that they can compete with the best the division has to offer. If the Warriors can be victorious in their final game of the season it should set them up well for a shot at the playoffs. Zach currently leads his team in interceptions and sits tied for sixth in division 10. It probably won't be long before we see Zach putting on some CFL colors to make this highlight reel:

Raise a beer to the player of the week!
Ryan Corbett of Da Beers is the 6th winner of the Tavern United Player of the Week Award. Ryan had 4 TD passes in a close loss to Dr. Debacle in Division 8 action. Ryan is a first time QB in the PIT and acquainting himself well with indoor. Da Beers have yet to put up a win but have come close the previous two weeks. Its only a matter of time before this rookie team puts it together and becomes a force to be reckon with.
Not sure which clip I liked better so "double" the pleasure this week

Bruno Goncalves from S.S. More Powerful Than Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and the Incredible Hulk Put Together was quite the super hero in his last outing vs The Army. Bruno had 6 points, 4 interceptions and 4 throwing touchdowns, quite the trifecta statistical performance in the 32-8 victory.
Bruno Submitted a tryout video to S.S. More Powerful Than Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and the Incredible Hulk Put Together before making the team. Look for Bruno and company to make a splash in the playoffs.

Bryan Read of Pick 6 is our final Tavern United Player of the Week. Bryan lead Pick 6 to a victory in their last regular season to put Pick 6 into the playoffs. Bryan had two TDs in the victory over the always tough Rolling 7s team. Here is some highlights Bryan has had this year for the aptly named Pick 6.
