Follow the links for information on the Annual Labour Day Tournament held in Regina (Labour Day long weekend/Bomber game!) http://www.rtfi.ca/tourney/labourday.php Driving distance, great party, touch football, and the Bomber game. You can't go wrong. Many of you may be going out to watch the Bomber game so if you wanted to play some football while you are there, get your teams signed up or if you are an individual player contact Arthur Garand @ arthurgarand@hotmail.com as he is putting in a team but requires some additional bodies.

AND a very strong encouragement for teams to check out the National Championships in Calgary this year (driving distance as well!). The National tournament only comes out West once every 5 years so we would strongly encourage teams to jump on the opportunity as we won't be seeing another National tournament until 2016. While the top teams in Canada converge for this tournament (which makes for some incredible football) there are skill levels for all teams from Elite to Rec. See the link here for more information http://www.tfont.com/TFO%20Website%202k5%20and%20on/Templates/Nationals%20TOC.htm

Both tournaments are expertly organized. In Regina the championships finish before the Bomber game and you can play under the lights if you want to come out the Friday. The Nationals are a whole other experience, with massive beer gardens and parties held each night. So not only is it a battle on the field, but a battle of attrition when you lose a player or two to the festivities.

Here is a link to what to expect from Nationals (couple of good Avenger clips in there from last year where they finished ranked #5 in Canada!) http://www.tfont.com/ The east has us beat on the ability to pitch but we got them crushed with our lined fields! Lets show the rest of Canada that the best football is played in Manitoba.

It is the 19th straight year I will be in Regina for the Labour Day Tournament and 5th year for Nationals. If you need any further information on the tournaments feel free to contact me.
