Throughout the season Winn City Pub will be offering an offensive and defensive player of the week award. The winner of the award will receive an hour of free pool and a prize consisting of either a ball cap, t-shirt, golf towel or gift certificates...plus if the player of the week shows up with their team, Winn City Manager Kelly Strickland (of Warpigs fame) will buy their entire team the second round!
Since we have been so backed up gathering new fields for the upcoming season we have quite a list of players to go through! Winners will have their player of the week award attached to an upcoming game card.
Week 1 Player of the week (Offense) Simon Ritchie, Hitmen (24 points in a 33-32 victory over Dead Zone)
Week 1 Player of the week (Defense) Justin Bonneteau, Slobberknockers (5 sacks in a 23-10 victory over Running Riot)
Week 2 Player of the week (Offense) Charles Carlos, Fighting Fire Hydrants (4 TD Passes, 6 Points in a 36-26 victory over Ninja Militia)
Week 2 Player of the week (Defense) Kyle VanCaeyzeele, BAMF (4 sacks in a 25-21 loss to Polk High)
Week 3 Player of the week (Offense) Andy Demelo, Brew Bombers (15 points in a 36-15 win over North End Hawkeyes)
Week 3 Player of the week (Defense) Steve Nabess, The Dead Zone (5 INTs, 8 Points in a 33-24 win over the Dogg Pound - pretty sure 5 INTs is a PIT outdoor single game record!)
These guys got the upper hand early in the season but lots of fight left!

PIT Teams will receive free pizza when stopping into Winn City Pub after games (minimum purchase required). Winn City Pub strikes again, adding some ethnicity to the mix. "Polish" of the Love Hitmen wins the Defensive player of the week in the PIT. Mike had four sacks en route to a twenty to nineteen point victory over the Villains with his division two team to secure a victory and the defensive player of the week award.
Drinks are on Mike for this week!

Last but not least, Gordon Fitzche takes home the Offensive player of the week sponsored by Win City Pub. Gordon rocked the "Shoe" by representing with twelve points for the Ninja Milita this week. Gordon will be the provider of beers for all while sharing the bounty of beers he earned while becoming week four offensive player of the week.

Week 5 offence player of the week, Rick Downey of Rampage scoring 18 points vs Dead Zone.
Week 5 defense player of the week, Mike Dew of Blitzkrieg with 4 sacks vs HFC.
Week 6 offence player of the week, Jessie Clarke chuckin for South Side Trojans 5 TD passes and 1 INT vs Polk High.
Week 6 defense player of the week, Jason Paseska of the Decepticons with 5 sacks vs Facekick.
Week 7 offence player of the week, Todd Hersak of the Anvils, Todd threw 4 TD's vs the Benders.
Week 7 defense player of the week, Li Walton of HFC had 3 sacks vs Bondiddy Bengals.
Week 8 offence player of the week, Pierre Feng of System of a touchdown scored 18 points vs ESP.
Week 8 defense player of the week, Vivek Elimban of the Gators had 2 INT's and 14 points vs the Warpigs.

Ryan Shelest of the North End Hawkeyes is the week 9 Offense player of the week for his 7 TD performance in divisional play vs Real Friends.
Nathan Falk of Beer Belly Bastards takes the week 9 Defense player of the week for his 2 Interceptions and not to mention 12 points while playing Bamf last week.

Chris Koolage is the Week 10 Offense player, Chris threw for 5 touchdowns during a 32-20 vs Love Assault.
Ross Prentice is the Week 10 Defense player, Ross added 4 sacks to his stats during a tight game vs the Roughnecks.
Jon Franklin gets the nod for Week 11 Offense player, Jon threw for 5 touchdowns while tuning up the Avengers for tournament play vs L'Attentatore.
Shawn Watson of Inappropriate Touching takes Week 11's Defensive player with 5 sacks vs Slobberknockers.

During our Tuesday Championship night, the PIT and Winn City Pub gave out player of the game awards to Cory Orieux of the Slobberknockers, Daniel Vicente of the North End Hawkeys, Sean Godard of Onslaugt, Chris Godfrey, Ryan Ferland, and Chris Silva all of Hardesty.
