Messages for New Rules for 2011/Waiver Forms

The 2011 rules page has been updated and can be viewed here: http://www.pitfootball.com/menu/outdoor-rules-2011

New rules have been highlighted in red, but all teams should familiarize themselves with all of the rules prior to playing their first game. Of note, there will be a zero tolerance policy for littering this year. If teams leave garbage behind they may be subject to fines. Fields are becoming increasingly hard to retain, due in part to littering. Please pick up after yourselves and your teammates. To help our environment we should be doing our part to clean up after ourselves anyway so there are no excuses!

A reminder that waiver forms should be presented to referees prior to your first game. Anyone who played in the Fall 2010, Winter 2011, and Spring 2011 is not required to fill out a waiver form. All other players must have a form or risk defaulting the your games. The waiver forms can be found here: http://www.pitfootball.com/league_files Note: referees will NOT have waiver forms, so it is up to the players and teams to bring their forms.

Have a great season in the largest and most competitive touch football league in Manitoba!

The waiver form has been updated and can be downloaded here: http://www.pitfootball.com/league_files

For those of you that have already signed a waiver form you need not fill out a new one. The change in some of the wording in the waiver form was necessitated due to the confusion created by the use of the term "Player Indoor Touch" football league (the acronym is PIT). The league was originally conceptualized as an indoor league but we soon grew to the outdoor league and the acronym stuck! Check out the "History Book" http://www.pitfootball.com/menu/the-history-book to learn more. Hopefully the elimination of the term "indoor" alleviates the confusion.

A reminder that all players who are required to have a signed waiver form that those forms must be handed in to the referee prior to playing your first game.

So are you trying to tell me there is no "I" in PIT?
