Messages for Paddington Park

Early yesterday evening the PIT secured Paddington Park for the 2011 season (now we wait on just two more possible field locations before a full schedule can be released!). For you old-timers (like myself) you may remember Paddington Park as the George McDowell location that touch football used approximately 10 years ago. We figured it was about time touch football returned!

Paddington Park has no goal posts so refs and/or players are not required to bring/return pads at games. The field also has plenty of parking in the school parking lot. Another great find for the PIT! Paddington Park brings increases the PIT stable of fields by three for the season with the distinct possibility of more to come.

Paddington Park recently had 20 yards of soil put down on the field in preparation for the PIT's usage in a few weeks. Thanks to Marshall, D, Marco, and Harlo's Landscaping Service for all their hard work. If anyone needs some heavy duty landscaping completed contact Harlo of Harlo's Landscaping and he will get the job done. Nolby Calet you are cut! On the plus side, Marco Frias did set a new rake balancing record that neither D nor Marshall shall ever break!

Another great South End find for the PIT, and would any other league do this kind of work to keep the fields in the most pristine condition? http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/397-paddington-park

Paddington Park was lined for our inaugural usage Monday. All of the extras you expect from the PIT were put down, the field was cut, and some additional top soil was placed on the field. Here are some pictures of our work: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/409-paddington-park-august-13th-2011

For those who haven't been to Paddington Park, the field is located behind George McDowell School on Paddington Road. The parking lot is open Monday to Thursday but will be locked Friday-Sunday (plenty of parking on the street in front of the school).

Enjoy our newest field!

Paddington Park was lined for the last two weeks of the regular season. As promised, the PIT was able to line our fields every three weeks for the duration of the season. It wasn't easy but PIT teams NEVER played on a unlined field. Here is yet another example of our work at Paddington Park: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/416-paddington-park-september-2nd

Good luck to teams as they jockey for playoff positions!

Paddington Park is back in rotation for the first time in the 2012 season. Overall all the soil we put down on the field last year has done Paddington well. Soccer wore the field down in a couple of spots around the newly erected goal posts but that hopefully will change now that we have torn them down.

So while the rest of you were at the lake or drinking crowns on a patio on Canada day the PIT Crew was out in the scorcher getting the field ready for Tuesdays games. Paddington was cut, lined, and given all the PIT extras. Here are some pics of our handiwork: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/497-paddington-park-on-canada-day

We played on Paddington field last night and it was in great shape, it was easily the best field we played on so far this season.
Great job guys

Because the Moose asked for it, Paddington Park was relined this week for its second rotation of the season. Only a few more linings this year and we can rest our machines and Riley won't have to cut grass from dusk till dawn!

In order to ensure the PIT fields are continually the best in touch football today Scott went out to Paddington Park with the mower to thatch and aerate the fields. Just in time as well, with all the rain lately (where was this rain in July and August???) Paddington Park will hopefully come in nicely come the summer! Paddington Park...now George McDowell School was lined on the long weekend for the new rotation of fields in July and August. Soccer nets once again invaded the fields so we had to remove the posts. Other than where the goal creases were the field is in top notch shape.

Here are some pictures of the field: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/588-george-mcdowell-school-june-2nd-2013

Teams are again reminded NOT to park in the school parking lot as the gates get locked in the evening. So unless you have an affinity for public transportation ensure your car is parked on the street.

George McDowell was given some touch ups last week as we continue to use that field for the months of July and August. The field is quickly becoming a player favorite and these pics should demonstrate why: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/597-george-mcdowell-school-july-24th-2013

Thanks to Dave Robson, who didn't try to auto-fellate himself (this time) but was last seen driving off into the sunset with the lawn tractor.

George McDowell was given its last lining of the season as part of the trifecta of field linings performed on Thursday. For those that KCCO we decided to "Mind the Gap": http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/604-george-mcdowell-august-14th-2013

The city also had 20 yards of soil trucked in that will be put in the field shortly which will hopefully make the field even better come PIT summer 2014...which is better than what could be said of the Bombers who may never win another championship in our lifetime. Can't even do this in the new stadium!

George McDowell (the former Paddington Park...that no one could seem to find even tho it is on google maps!) was lined not once by twice over the last week or so. The first time we showed up the field was completely underwater. Here is us swimming with the fishes: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/682-the-george-mcdowell-experience-part-i

So we had to come back days later to line the field once it dried up...only to get poured on again! Here is our second attempt at lining the field: http://www.pitfootball.com/albums/684-the-george-mcdowell-experience-redux

George McDowell is looking great. I am looking forward to playing on it a few times this summer.

The PIT Crew recently relined Paddington Park as part of the our mid-season field maintenance. Here is a video of Scott lining the field...he should have had a snickers...he might have avoided this error if he had!

Great googly moogly!

George McDowell aka Paddington park was lined Thursday along with three other fields in what turned out to be a 14 hour day. Thanks to the PIT Crew consisting of Brent Sliwiany, Dave Robson, Kurtis Lizon and Neil McKernan who all lent a hand in getting the four fields completed. The PIT Crew's previous record of fields completed was three so this was quite the endeavor, and something I don't want to be part of again for quite some time!

I think I should hire some minions to complete these tasks...take a look at how the PIT Crew fared here: http://pitfootball.com/albums/747-george-mcdowell-july-2015

George McDowell received its second lining of the year. I think it is safe to say that it is currently our best field to play on, and maybe the best lined one as well! If you don't believe me, check it out for yourselves here: http://pitfootball.com/albums/754-george-mcdowell-july-17th-2015

George McDowell was lined for the third time this season, in the rain, while fighting sharks. Don't believe us? Check out the evidence here: http://pitfootball.com/albums/757-george-mcdowell-august-6th
