The PIT is pleased to announce the offering of another free ref clinic taught by two of Manitoba's most senior referees Cliff Kitchen and Brad Kelm. The PIT will be offering the in-class portion of the clinic on evening of Sunday May 8th and the on field practicum on the evening of Monday May 9th. We will also be conducting a head refs clinic for those interested in learning to head ref. The clinic is not only informative but Brad and Cliff make learning the rules interesting!
Why attend the ref clinic? This is a very good way to make money while partaking in some football and fresh air. If you are looking to earn some extra cash on the evenings and weekends it does not get any better than this!
What we offer: High pay, extensive bonus system, fresh air, and a ticket to the the annual ref windup where the PIT execs take you out all-expenses paid. What other league does that for their refs?
When would you ref? Whenever and wherever you want. You set your own schedule.
Even if you do not want to ref, why not come out to the clinic to learn about the rules of touch football? The more that you know the more enjoyable your game day experience.
Location TBA, all you need to do is RSVP so that we can print copies of the referee manual for all those interested.

Here are the particulars for the FREE referee's clinic!
Date: Sunday May 8th from 6:00 to 9:30pm (Clinic), Monday May 9th from 7:00 - 8:30 (on field)
Location: Meeting room at the Quality Inn at 635 Pembina Highway (clinic), Algate Park (on field)
Cost: Free
Who can attend? Anyone interested in creating a flexible schedule while earning some $$$ over the summer, as well as those who just want to brush up on the rules, are invited.
Why do it? Earn up to $37 a game, find flexible employment, or simply to better understand the rules of the game!
Please RSVP so we can print rule books for all those in attendance. The PIT exec will also be buying the first round at our league sponsored watering hole Winn City Pub (in the Quality Inn) following the clinic!

The on-field practicum on Monday May 9th 7:00 at Algate field will feature the Woody's versus a team TBD. Ideally we would like a division 2 or 3 team to participate in the exhibition game. If your team is interested let us know.
We already have about 10 people attending the ref clinic. Send us an email if you are interested in earning some extra money (up to $37 a game) while taking in the fresh air and football. You create your own schedule so you work on your own terms at your desired times!

I'm all for taking this ref clinic.
There's a bunch of situational plays and rules I have questions on.
But on Mother's Day of all days???

Looks like we have Woodys vs Big Deal set up for the referee clinic on Monday May 9th. Thanks to all the teams who have inquired but we now have the spot filled.
