Amici is back on board to help acknowledge the stellar play of one player each week for the duration of the Winter season. Check out their website to see their awesome menu www.amiciwpg.com/ (seriously, bring you significant other to Amici, it will be a night to remember!)

The first player of the week is William Smith who led his Badgers team to victory scoring 19 points against the Greedy Smurfs. William had a few diving stabs at the back of the end zone to punctuate his performance. The Greedy Smurfs simply had no answer for his catches, as seen here:

Congratulations from the PIT! William will enjoy a $25 gift certificate courtesy of Amici Restaurant

The Amici's player of the week for week #2 is Travers Cummings of the Cromartie Kids. Through two games, Travers has thrown five TD passes and scored a single point. The one point belies his scrambling ability as Travers has become a nightmare for opposing rushers. While the Kids have started their PIT careers at 0-2, if not for some stout goal line stands by their opposition they could easily be 2-0. The Kids are a chip off the old block:

Congratulations from the PIT Crew, and enjoy your $25 gift certificate from Amici's restaurant.

The week three player of the week is Justin Hink. Justin almost rode the Swayze Express to victory over the three-time division 2 champions I Want Winners. The Swayze Express entered the game as considerable underdogs and if it wasn't for a last play incompletion I Want Winners would have suffered their first divisional defeat in over a year. Justin picked apart the Winners D with 4 TD passes and added and INT. The Express' move into division 2 has been solid with both games played thus far decided by a TD.

Justin will receive a $25 gift certificate from Amici's for his stellar play. For those looking for a scouting report, here is Justin in action with his buddy Chris Farley.

Krakatoa player explodes into player of the week status.

Neal Gwizon from Krakatoa has been named the player of the week for week #4. Neil had a touchdown and an interception in a losing effort to the Y Nots. Krakatoa is yet another new team to the PIT and they are battling for a playoff spot in what might be the most tightly contested division in the PIT. Division 5 has two points separating first from last, with each team in the division with at least one win and one loss. The final couple of games in the season could see a complete reversal of the standings. Teams should be weary of playing Krakatoa, as there they only give you two choices when playing them "below or overboard".

Here is your PIT history lesson of the day:

Congratulations to Neil from the PIT!

Chris from Krakatoa here. Loved the history lesson. The eruption of Krakatoa is widely thought of as the Loudest Sound ever heard. Below or Overboard...Those are the choices for those standing in the way of righting the ship. Beautiful. Congrats Neil!

Mexican cross the border to claim player of the week award

Fresh off his all-star appearance Patrick Allan also picks up the player of the week for week #5. Pat threw 4 TD passes (two to Simon Ritchie and 2 to Justin Hink) for the Mexicans in their victory over the Chuggernauts. Pat continues to shine as the rusher turned quarterback has his team in first place in the highly contested division 6, all while sitting tied for third in TD passes. Pat will enjoy a $25 gift certificate to Amici's restaurant for his work!

For teams scouting the Mexicans as the playoffs approach, here is some footage of what you can expect when you play them:

Happy hands get happier!

Tyler Wilcox of Happy Hands is the 6th winner of the Amici's Player of week award. The first year QB of Happy Hands is transitioning from being a dominant WR into a QB role in one of the PIT's toughest divisions. In their week 6 match-up the Nomads jumped out to a quick lead, however Tyler led Happy Hands back and almost completed the comeback before a late Nomads TD put the game out of reach. In the game versus the Nomads, Tyler threw TD strikes to team captain Phil Wallis and Cam McKay. While a video montage of happy hands was not PG http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Happy%20Hands I figured a montage of other things we can do with our hands was!

Congrats Tyler and enjoy your $25 gift certificate to Amici's restaurant!

Mike Weekes of Yolmes is the Amici's player of the week for the February 25th weekend. Mike threw three TD passes to lead the Yolmes to their first ever win in the PIT and position themselves for a playoff birth with a victory in their final game of the season. The Yolmes have broke into the PIT in Division 9 which has turned out to be yet another highly contested division. In the Yolmes victory over Push to Start, Mike hit Jon Causon for two TDs and Chris Yard for the third as the Yolmes look to peak for the playoffs.

If you see Mike warming up before the game ask him to do one of his famous trick shots:

Congratulations Mike and enjoy your $25 gift certificate to Amici's restaurant!

Gladiator's QB Arthur Garand's five TD performance to four different receivers (Danial Santos, Delorean Padua, Shane Marx, and Justin Ross) earned him last weeks Amici player of the week award. In addition to leading Division 3 in TD passes, including his all-star appearance, Arthur is on a record seven indoor teams during the Winter. With the amount of parity that currently exists in the PIT it is amazing that the Gladiators made it through the regular season unscathed, or shall we say perfect?

Here is Arthur training on his off days from the PIT

Arthur will enjoy a perfect meal from Amici restaurant for his performance!
