Before the season starts... how many players on a higher division team can play on a lower division team?

Hey Mike,
Technically there is no limit, but we will place teams according to their calibre. Thus if a team looks too good for a division, we will move them up (thus a team with 4 div 1 guys on it might end up back in div 1). Right now the divisions are simply a "rough estimate" of what they will look like come the winter (Div 5 for example will only have 6 teams, not the 10 currently listed). If you have any questions or comments, send us an email or give us a shout and we will work through them with you. Ideally, we can construct divisions where everyone is of fairly equitable calibre and anyone can win on any given day. After the season starts, all players added to a roster have to go through the league to ensure the competitive balance is not upset.
We don't use a specific number of upper division guys because we want to ensure we look at the team as a whole, plus some upper division guys are better than others. My Nomads team in Div 5 in the fall for example had three upper division guys and we only won 1 game...against a team that only had 4 players...and no QB for the first half of the game. Sigh. The bigger question, is how do we rank a team with a RB/WR from the BC Lions on their roster??? haha.
