The PIT League is proud to announce the start of registration for its third season of indoor football. We will continue to offer the best facility, fields, competition, referees, and swag in an environment that is both competitive and fun. Our mandate is to provide the best game day experience for our players.
Fall 2010 Season Information:
Season Starts: Friday, October 23rd
Season Ends: Saturday, December 18th
Game times: Fridays and Saturdays starting at 10:45pm
Divisions: Capped at 6 teams, top 4 teams make playoffs
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, October 13th at noon
Lounge: Yes! The lounge is finally open to enjoy a few beverages after (or before) games! The entire upstairs of the facility is licensed, so teams can grab a drink and watch the action unfold on the fields from the stands.
Costs: $630 (inclusive of GST and insurance)
Registration fees remain the same as last year. The PIT is the only indoor league that offers insurance to its players. Cheques are payable to Scott McArthur or Jon Franklin. League addresses can be found on the contacts page http://www.pitfootball.com/contacts
Registration Deadline/League Cap:
We appreciate your support and will continue to run the best touch football league in Manitoba! However, due to the limited supply of field time available we will be capping the number of teams in the Fall league at just 64. The registration deadline is noon Saturday October 23rd, however, teams should register early to ensure a spot in the league. Last year 17 teams were turned away because they registered too late. Teams are encouraged to sign up for the fall league on the website and pay prior to the deadline date to ensure registration. Please keep in mind that the league reserves the right to close registration early if we have reached the cap on teams.
All the customary PIT swag to the winners of each division – including each championship team member’s name engraved ‘Stanley Cup’ style on the nicest trophies in touch football today! Divisions will be aligned according to team calibre. Teams of all skill levels are encouraged to register. We will find a competitive division for all teams who are interested for the fall league. Due to higher than expected demand for the fall indoor season, the PIT has secured an extra weekend of play to increase league capacity. The season will now begin on Friday October 22nd, with registration due on Wednesday October 13th at 12:00 noon (please keep in mind the earlier payment schedule). The additional weekend of games will push the cap to 72 teams across 12 divisions. As of today, we already have 55 teams signed up for the Fall indoor season, meaning there was only 9 spots remaining before we hit our original cap of 64. Even with the additional cap room the extra week affords there is only enough space for 17 teams. The league will close registration once capacity is met (72 paid teams) so early payment is imperative.
We encourage all other teams to sign up on the site as soon as possible and get payment in to guarantee a spot in the league. Teams who expected to start on the October 29th weekend as originally planned may request the first weekend off (just fill out the schedule request form and hand in with payment). Don't get left out!
