The PIT will now be using a second field at Sherbo Cove for the 2010 season. Sherbo Cove 2 is located in the South East part of the city directly beside our other Sherbo Cove field. Just like our other new fields: Aldgate Park, River Elm and Frederick Heubach Park, Sherbo Cove 2 is a regulation sized football field with no goal posts, so refs and/or players will not be required to pick up or return pads to various locations throughout the city! Sherbo Cove 2 was just sodded at the end of the Fall season and is in pristine untouched condition. The PIT will be the first to break it in! The field can be viewed by clicking on "Field Locations" on the menu bar or here: http://www.pitfootball.com/locations (don't worry the satellite image is old, so it looks like there is no grass)
That brings our total to 4, the number of new regulation sized football fields the PIT has secured in just this year alone! Plus we are still working on a couple of more locations. We have secured enough fields to regularly rotate them to keep the fields in great condition throughout the duration of the year.
