The PIT football league joined forces with the powers behind the Moosehead Cup to crown the top grass hockey team in Manitoba on Saturday. Players came from as far away as Neepawa to compete. Your PIT league administration finished second in the Cup led by the two-way play of Scott McArthur and the goaltending of Kanwal Saran (I chipped in a goal or two). We still claim victory in the Moosehead Cup, however as it played out the PIT exec was bested by a team backstopped by No D's Martin Windus. Congrats on winning the 2009 Manitoba grass hockey championship Windy, the PIT league was well represented! We showed the world/southern Winnipeg that it isn't just football that we run the 'shoe'.
