Amici's restaurant will be sponsoring the PIT Football player of the week award. At the end of each game, both teams will select a player of the game from the opposing team. Each of these players will be put into a bi-weekly draw for a $25 gift certificate to Amici's. If you haven't been to Amici's you are missing out on the best Italian food in the city!
The first ever Amici's Player of the Week Award (POW) goes to George Sanderson of the Micronauts who had 8 points in a losing cause to Ninja Militia in one of the many close games that occurred over week #1. George will receive a $25 gift certificate from Amici's restaurant. The Amici's POW award is chosen randomly from a list of all MVPs chosen during the previous week.

The Amici's Player of the Week award for week two goes to Darryl Janzen of the Doggs. Darryl led the Doggs to victory with two picks and two tds, showing off his prowess on both sides of the ball. Darryl will receive a $25 gift certificate from Amici's restaurant. The Amici's POW award is chosen randomly from a list of all MVPs chosen during the previous week.

Brendon Plamondon has won the week 3 Amici's Player of the Week award, racking up a $25 gift certificate from Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant in the process. Brendan led the Weekend Warriors to victory on Saturday despite starting the game with only 6 players. Brendan scored a TD, had a convert, and had 5 sacks on route to the 10 point victory.

Rick Slavinsky of the Beer Belly Bastards has won the week 4 Amici's Player of the Week Award. Rick earned his $25 gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant by registering a 'Rick Slavinsky hat trick'. To score the hat trick Rick intercepted a pass while rushing the QB and returned the aforementioned int for a touchdown. Rick added the final portion of the hat trick by registering a sack to seal the triple B's 22-21 victory over the Aints.

The Amici's player of the week award for week 5 goes to Jason Huclack of the HoJo Express. Jason had about 15 catches for 200 hard fought yards versus the Broncos, most of which occurred while in heavy traffic. In addition he added both a touchdown and a convert on what appeared to be the winning score before the Broncos stormed back in the last minute of the game. Jason can relax at Amici's with the well deserved $25 gift certificate.

Mike Luba of No D is the week 6 Amici's Player of the Week. Mike scored a 109 yard TD and racked up deep ball after deep ball against the Guild of Calimitous Intent. Mike Luba along with the rest of No D threw a scare into the Guild in their cross over game and as such Mike will enjoy a gift cerficate to Winnipeg finest Italian restaurant.

David Guspodarchuk of the Ninja Malitia is the week 7 Amici's Player of the Week. Gus played like a seasoned vet throwing for 4 touchdowns in a crossover game vs the Aints that nearly had the Ninjas take the game. David will enjoy a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Will Hazell of Rinkside is the week 8 Amici's Player of the Week. Will accumulated 8 of the nine points Rinkside scored against the Rebels to lead his team to victory. A honourable mention goes to RB who scored the overtime victory for the Rinkside team. Will Hazell will enjoy a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Harlo Larkin of the Titans is the week 9 Amici's Player of the week. Harlo had a huge game vs the Division leading Pylon team. Harlo scored 21 points and added a touchdown throw for good measure! Kyle Ashuk of the Pylons did everything possible to keep the Titans at bay with 2 scores and 2 interceptions, alas it was not enough. Harlo will enjoy a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Nigel Rubeniuk of No D for life has won the week 10 Amici's Player of the week award. Nigel helped No D defeat the South Side in a highly contested divisional game. Nigel scored 6 points and had 3 sacks during the game. Nigel will enjoy a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Jason Hucklack of the Hojo Express has won the week 11 Amici's Player of the week award. Jason had a strong showing with three scores and an interception during the Hojo - Weekend Warrior game. Jason will enjoy a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Winston Yip of the Titans has won the Week 12 Amici's Player of the week award. Winston played very well last week scoring six points which was a circus catch that secured the victory over the Mighty Schmucks. Winston will receive a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Kenton Onofrychuk of the South Side Trojans has won week 13 Amici's Player of the week award. Blair and a point and a timely interception to lead the Southside team over divisional rivals, Rinkside. The win keeps Southside in the hunt for first place and the first round playoff bye. Kenton will receive a girt certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

David Dyck of the Mighty Schmucks has won week 14 Amici's Player of the week award. David threw for two touchdowns and added seven points to lead the Schmucks to their third win of the season. David will receive a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Shawn Funk of Rinkside has won week 15 Amici's Player of the week award. Shawn threw for 4 touchdowns and controlled the tempo of the game vs the Ratz over the weekend. Shawn will receive a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Rick Morand has won week 16 Amici's Player of the week award. Rick has been consistent with the Ratz this year, Rick's speed and great hands helped put a score on the board vs a crossover game vs the Doggs . Rick will receive a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant.

Ken Hunter has won week 17 Amici's Player of the week award. Ken had the touchdown that won the game vs No D last week. Ken's team the Rebels, won the game seven to six. Ken will receive a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant, a value meal from Burger King, and a pizza from Presto.

Neil Gwizon has won week 18 Amici's Player of the week award. Neil was a force in the game between the Aztecs and Guild. Neil made many circus catches to help the Aztecs defeat the Guild last Monday. Neil will receive a gift certificate to Winnipeg's finest Italian restaurant, a value meal from Burger King, and a pizza from Presto.
