Hi Jon,

I noticed the weekend with the finals as the same weekend as Easter Long weekend. I am just wondering if that may be dificult for people as they may have plans for that weekend? just a thought.

If Im reading this correctly, the 1st place team automatically gets a bye to the finals?Maybe just a brain fart on my part.

Div 9 semi-finals are on April 10th with the finals on the 11th. No teams should get a bye to the final other than elite (which only has the two teams).

So when you say April 4th Saturday 1 12:00, Is that actually the night of Sunday April the 5?

Just trying to clarify.

Thanks

As the standings start to play out we will be adding games to the playoff schedule. Right now there are only a few games up as the parity in the divisions means that most playoff spots will not be decided until the last weekend.

Any thought given to combining the fall and winter schedule and maybe reseeding after Christmas? 5 Games just doesn't seem like a long enough time to get it together and get a good judge of where your at compared to the other teams.

Not all teams want to play in the fall (the league has traditionally been smaller in the fall). Teams who play in the fall can reseed themselves in the Winter so it is basically the same thing except you now get to play for both a fall and winter championship.

I would have to agree with John, what you seem to be suggesting basically already happens the only thing your really changing is now only playing for 1 championship......which would blow!!!!!!! Think about it if you start out brutal for any reason and your basically out of the playoffs halfway through the season, it would suck! The chance to come back stronger in the Winter session and compete for another championship is a much better idea.

kdiz,
And playing for two championships means you have played 14 games, and had the chance at 2 Championship Pit shirts. Bang for you buck, for sure. Jon and I make next to no money having 6 teams per division (You get your shot at every team in the division), but we feel that it is the best format. Every team has a 66 percent chance (mathematical)of having one playoff game, and a 33 percent chance of having two playoff games. Clearly this league is run for the love of the game, rather than greed.

We are happy with the product, and hope you are too.

Scott
