The Players indoor touch football league would like to announce the player of the month award, this award will acknowledge both, excellence and character within the realm of touch football in the PIT. Home Run Sports has generously donated footballs as our monthly prizes. The PIT's executive officers have investigated, and found two very deserving individuals for the month of January.
Reid Buchanon of Solid Oak is our first PIT co-winner. Sixth time's a charm, Reid Buchanon threw two touchdown passes in a game to defeat an injury riddled Hobo Olympians squad. The Solid Oak juggernauts scored there first touchdown, and won their first game since starting in the league last October.
Harmon Brar of the So Smooth team is our other co-winner. Harmon's quiet disposition might allow him to fly under the radar, ( but not anymore)! Harmon has quietly amassed 24 points in two games, near the top of the leader board within division 4, while adding an INT for good measure. Harmon's great hands, height, and amazing attitude make him a shoe in for the January PIT award.

The Player of the month has returned for the outdoor season of the PIT. The May player of the month is Geoff Dueck Thiessen from the Mighty Schmucks. Home Run Sports has donated a new CFL style football for Geoff. Burger King has also donated a whopper combo meal to the prize pool.

Rinkside is now on board to help sponsor the PIT football player of the month. In addition to the football and whopper combo meal, Geoff will also receive a $20 gift certificate at Rinkside. Congrats Geoff.

Terry Martins of the is the June player of the month, Terry quietly locked down the corner position for the Morningwood team during the month of June. Qb's who dared to throw his way would usually end up throwing a pick for a turnover. Terry will enjoy a CFL style football from Home Run Sports, a gift certificate from Rinkside and a Whopper combo meal from Burger King.

Marco Frias of the Weekend Warriors is the July Player of the month. Marco plays like a bear on the field, usually swatting for balls in the middle defencive position. Standing six feet tall, and 260 pounds Marco is not the person players run through while making a catch. Marco's solid positioning on the field causes Qb's to throw away from him for the most part. Marco exemplifies what a PIT football player should be, consistent on the field and always a gentleman in victory or defeat. Marco will enjoy a CFL style football from Home Run Sports, a gift certificate from Rinkside restaurant, A large pizza from Presto pizza, and a Whopper combo meal from Burger King.
