Amici and Bombolini is the Inaugural sponsor of the Players Indoor Touch Football League Saturday player of the Night. Each game will have one player from each team nominated for the player of the night each Saturday. The winner will be drawn out of a hat at the conclusion of the evening. The winner will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to be used at the finest Italian style restaurant in Winnipeg.

Trevor Halvorsen of the Untouchables has won the first Amici's Saturday Night Player of the Game award for November 1st. Trevor will receive a $25 gift certificate from Amici's restaurant.
The Amici's Saturday Night player of the game is chosen randomly from a list of all MVPs of the nights games.

I did send out an email to all teams and refs. Team captains should examine the game card to ensure all stats are recorded so when we enter them they are correct. In addition, if the refs forget the MVP (new to our league) teams can also remind the refs. The refs have also been re-told about the team MVPs and proper stats collection.

Congratulations to Scott McArthur who won the Saturday Night Player of the Night for January 10th. Scott played in two finals and played every position other than centre over the course of the evening. Scott played WR, QB, DB and rushed (not all at once) for the Blazers team that won Division 1, then almost QB'd Morningwood to victory while containing the ever elusive Mike Brownridge as the rusher.
Honorable mention to Harlo Larkin who took home both the Div 1 and Div 2 championship trophies on Saturday and Mike Brownridge who threw the lights out against Morningwood.

Congratulations to Jamie Pittumbur from the Hobo Olympians who has won the Amici's player of the Night for Saturday January 24th. Jamie will receive a $25 gift certificate from Amici's restaurant. Jamie had three interceptions and a TD pass while playing a man short after the Hobo Olympians QB went down with injury in the first half. Congratulations to Jason Gibbons from Manwh0r3z United who has won the Amici's player of the Night for Saturday March 7th. Jason threw five td passes and had an interception to keep Man U undefeated for the season. In a display of sportsmanship, Man U also decided to play a man down after the Hobo Olympians lost a player due to injury and only had 4 players remaining. Congratulations to Kory Stagg from the Polk High All-Stars who has won the Amici's player of the Night for Saturday March 14th. Kory threw four td passes to cap off Polk High's undefeated season. Kory has been racking up stats after taking over for Polk High's previous QB Neil McKernan who was lost to season-ending surgery. Kory will receive a $25 gift certificate from Amici's restaurant. Congratulations to Chris Krupa who led the Hyenas to their second consecutive division 3 championship on Saturday. Chris had 13 points in the win over Big Deal.
