A reminder that all bags and clothing must be removed from the sidelines. League insurance does not cover injuries associated with obstacles that are placed on the sidelines by participants. We have had a few close calls in which players have stepped/tripped over bags and have nearly been injured. This is not a new rule, but will be enforced moving forward. Teams will be penalized for delay of game if there are obstacles left on the sidelines.
For fields 1 and 4 (outer fields) bags can be kept behind the netting. For fields 2 and 3 (inner fields) bags can be kept behind the netting on the far end of the field. Keep in mind, lockers are available to all teams! Locker keys can be picked up at the front desk and all your belongings can be locked up in your designated locker room. With that in mind, there is no reason to bring your bags and coats out to the fields anyway.
Players cannot warm up in the end zones while games are ongoing. We had a near miss last week when a player made a great diving catch out the back of the end zone and was nearly severely injured by players who were warming up. All warm ups must take place behind the curtains not on the fields themselves. The league wants to promote player safety so these changes are necessary.
