It is that time of year again to pay homage to some of the touch football greats that have played in Manitoba. We have another stellar group of players and contributors as part of the 2020 Hall of Fame class!
Our first inductee for the 2020 HOF class is Todd Rhoden, who captained not one, but two of the greatest teams in Manitoba touch football history. Todd created the Avengers and the Aztecs/Iced Earth. To captain one of the top teams in Manitoba history is quite a feat, to captain two puts Todd in a league of his own!
Congratulations to Todd Rhoden who was inducted into the 2020 Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame in the Team Captain category.
"To be considered for selection in the Team Captains category a player must have been a team captain for a minimum of 20 seasons of touch football (indoor and outdoor included). Team captains are the unsung heroes of touch football and this is the first Hall of Fame to pay tribute to the players that go above and beyond for their teams in an administrative capacity."
A few highlights of Todd's stellar career as a team captain:
Over 17 years as a team captain with stints in the WTFL, UTFL, Mazur, and PIT Football leagues
2 x WTFL champion
2 x UTFL champion
12 x PIT football champion
8 x Mazur league champion
24 championship trophies all at the Division 1 or Elite level. Just incredible!
