Is the 2019 Hall of Fame class the best so far? We will leave that up to you to decide. We will be updating our 2019 Hall of Fame Class this week as we pay homage to some of the greatest touch football players in Manitoba history!
Congratulations to Brent Sliwiany who was inducted into the Officials category of the 2019 Manitoba Touch Football Hall of Fame.
"To be considered for selection in the Official’s category, an official must have displayed the leadership, ability, and understanding of the rules to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for the players. The official must have conducted themselves in a professional manner both on and off the field and be recognized and respected by his/her peers as a Head official, back judge or sideline referee. The Officials Hall of Fame has been created as a means of recognizing and honoring those officials who have provided many years of outstanding and dedicated service to our sport."
A few highlights:
One of only two referees to have officiated at least 2500 games in the PIT
Outdoor officiating record (313 games)
Spring season officiating record (55 games)
Fall season officiating record (64 games)
Winter season officiating record (89 games)
And most importantly Brent is probably our most requested official to have reffing our teams games!
