Boston Pizza is back sponsoring the PIT League during the 2014 Fall season. Each recipient will receive a personal pizza to enjoy at any of Winnipeg's Boston Pizza locations. The Fall season kicked off October 17th with a full slate of games. Everyone in the complex was pretty excited to battle for the elusive PIT championship "Stanley cup engraved style" Trophies.

Week 1 recipient will go to Levi Kasdorf as he helped the Vikings squad outlast the Death From Above, Matt Turner lead squad.
Levi and the Viking crew bested the DFA team by a score of 31-25. Levi was a had statistics in multiple categories with an interception and 18 points.

Week 2, Friday October 24th had the Mayhem vs Adrian Peterson School of Discipline teams go head to head in a Division 14 contest. The Mayhem squad rose to the occasion on the shoulders of team captain Brent Fabris, Brent had a great game with three major scores for a total of 18 points and matched the Adrian Peterson's team tally. The final score was 39-18 which secured the Mayhem's second win for the Fall season. Honourable mentions goes out to Andre Sousa with 14 points scored for the Mayhem squad.

Week 3, Friday October 31st had another awesome slate of games for Halloween night. Ziggy Haluik had a spectacular game with his Deadliest Catch crew, Ziggy Haluik scored 3 majors, a two point conversion and an interception to solidify his POW performance. The Deadliest Catch squad downed Dredd Zone by a score of 46-25. Honourable mention goes out to Ryan Ferland for chucking 6 TD's during the evening.

All Ziggy does is catch touchdowns! Carter is still a PIMP!

Boston Pizza is back sponsoring the PIT League during the 2014 Fall season. Each recipient will receive a personal pizza to enjoy at any of Winnipeg's Boston Pizza locations. Week 4, Friday November 7th featured the Barley Bros vs Bos$$ squads. The game was very exiting and I had a front row seat as I was the Head Referee while Mr. Kelm (top referee in Canada) was dealing with other PIT business at the time. Jordan Lee became the clear cut front runner from play 1 during this outing. Jordan was able to sack the Barley Brothers quarterback in the end zone for a safety, not a bad start for play 1 on Defense. Jordan continued his amazing play during the game with multiple knockdowns on key third downs for the Bo$$ team. Jordan ended the night with a touchdown, 2 sacks, a safety, and an interception in a narrow victory for the Bo$$ squad by a score of 20-18.

The PIT crew was able to video the first play safety by POW Jordan Lee.

Boston Pizza is back sponsoring the PIT League during the 2014 Fall season. Each recipient will receive a personal pizza to enjoy at any of Winnipeg's Boston Pizza locations. Week 5, Friday November 14th recipient is a relative newcomer to the PIT league, but with his awesome attitude, Mat Turner from the Death from Above squad is an excellent addition to the PIT family. Mat started playing in the PIT during the Summer of 2013, and took the lead as captain of the Free Agent squad, and along the way has played on multiple other teams including the Death From Above squad which he helped form. Mat was a beast last Friday scoring 25 of the DFA 34 points. The final tally was Death From above 34, and Venum 19. Mat's squad is currently in a 4 way tie for the remaining 2 playoff spots in Division 8, and Mat sits atop the scoring race within Division 8.

This can be heard within the change room before DFA enters the turf on any given Friday!

The Week 6 recipient is the team captain of the Forte Year Old Virgins, Connor Vogt. Although Connor's team FYOV fell 1 point short to the Level 5 Laser Lotuses, Connor has a great game with stats in 4 separate areas. Connor has a major score, a converted point, a touchdown thrown, and 2 interceptions! The final score in this Division 10 bout was 20-19, and with three games played for all the teams, all are still in contention for a playoff spot.

Thank you very much Connor, you have made my job too easy!

The Week 7 has come and gone, but Brayden Saville's Kick a$$ performance from last week will be remembered. Brayden and his Legion of Boom teammates defeated the Leftover Jerseys squad by a score of 33-19 in a Division 16 tilt. Brayden had 4 major scores and an interception to lead the Legion of Boom to victory.

Boston Pizza is back sponsoring the PIT League during the 2014 Fall season. Each recipient will receive a personal pizza to enjoy at any of Winnipeg's Boston Pizza locations. The Week 8 had many pivotal games as all teams vie for playoff births. On Friday we had a great Division 2-3-4 game that featured Nemesis and the Slobberknocker squads. The Nemesis squad prevailed in the end by a score of 34-30 with Jordan Mikolash leading the way last Friday. Jordan had 1 sack 1 running touchdown and 4 TD's via air mail, thus earning top honours for the evening. The victory for the Nemesis squad has secured a spot in the Division 2 playoffs, while the loss for the Slobberknockers pushes them to Division 3 or 4 playoffs(Depending on the PIT tiebreaker rules which will be available at the conclusion of the regular season).

The Week 9 award goes to Jordan Wollmann. Jordan's team Dammit Donald fell to the Division 12 leading The D Experience by a score of 27-18, but Jordan had a great game with 18 points. The game could have really gone any way, and now that the Dammit Donald squad has a season under their belt for the newest additions, I'm sure they will be a force in the Winter season as they have currently registered for Division 14.
