Messages for River Elm field

River Elm was lined yesterday, and of course all the extras that you have come to expect from the PIT were added too (regulation Size, hash marks, player boxes, numbers, direction arrows, no goal posts, and propaganda slogans). Jon and I fully expect this will become a favorite field location of the people living in the North and East areas of the city with time. The field is located just off the cloverleaf of the perimeter and is adjacent to the Red river (If the PIT continued to expand, we would look at irrigation options in the future, due to the endless water supply). We want to point out that we had made plans with our sponsor Ron Paul garden center to have 20 yards of soil to be dropped off many times this year, but due to rain, bad timing, and the inability of the dump truck to get into the area that holds the soil (due to the wet conditions), we have not been able to start the process of taking the undulations out of the field. We will be taking the field out of rotation in September, and this process will begin then. We hope you share and can see our vision when out at River Elm this year.
